Fallen Officers

Officer James H. Nerison

EOW: January 3, 1933

Officer James Nersion was killed in the line of duty at the Alhambra Theater on the intersection of Atlantic Blvd. and Main Street. The man fled through a side door where his accomplice was waiting. They opened fire and fatally wounded Officer Nersion. Officer Nerison was a U.S. Army veteran of WWI and served with the Alhambra Police Department for four years. James was survived by his wife and three children. 


Sergeant George E. Davis

EOW: January 3, 1964

Sergeant George Davis was killed in the line of duty while responding to a robbery in progress call at the American Mutual Savings & Loan. One of the suspects took cover behind an employee and fatally wounded Sergeant Davis. George served with the Alhambra Police Department for 10 years. He was survived by his wife and two sons. 


Officer Richard J. Mohr

EOW: December 14, 1970

Officer Richard Mohr was killed in the line of duty during a traffic accident.


Officer Ryan E. Stringer

EOW: July 10, 2011

Officer Ryan Stringer was tragically killed in an automobile accident when his patrol vehicle collided with another patrol vehicle while responding to a robbery in progress. Officer Stringer was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Ryan served with the Alhambra Police Department for two years and is survived by his mother, father, and four sisters.
