Salary: $87,111.72 - $111,179.16 Annually

Police Officers perform general law enforcement duties and may have the opportunity to specialize in the selected fields of juvenile law; narcotic and dangerous drug enforcement; community relations; traffic enforcement and investigation; criminal investigation; and other equally challenging tasks.

  1. SELECTION PROCESS

Applicants must apply online and submit their Basic P.O.S.T. certificate. Intermediate or Advance P.O.S.T. Certificates will not be accepted in lieu of a Basic P.O.S.T.  

Applications will be screened for qualifications and appropriate background, and only the most qualified will be invited to participate in the examination process. Successful candidates must achieve a minimum passing score in each test component.  Applicants will be notified by email as to the test date, time, and location. The examination process may include the following:

  1. Oral Interview
  2. Pre-Employment Physical
  3. Background Investigation
  4. Polygraph Examination
  5. Psychological Evaluation
  6. Medical Examination
  7. Chief's Interview
