The City of Alhambra was incorporated in 1903 and chartered in 1915 with a Council-City Manager form of government. Alhambra is a full-service City with 4 major parks, public library, an 18-hole municipal golf course, more than 30 churches, community hospital, theaters, shopping centers and business and industrial districts. There are also 13 elementary schools, 4 high schools and 7 private schools within Alhambra’s boundaries. The campus of California State University at Los Angeles is located adjacent to Alhambra.

Open Opportunities are positions available to the general public.   We invite skilled, collaborative, and talented team players to join our growing team.

Promotional Opportunities are positions only available to current full-time City of Alhambra employees.   These positions are meant to provide opportunities for current employees to transfer or promote into other positions within the City.

The salary, duties, requirements, and benefits available for each job position are provided in each job posting or bulletin. Applicants for both open and promotional opportunities must have an email address to create an account with GovernmentJobs.   Candidates must complete the online application and attach all required documents.  Work experience responses should be detailed.   Referencing a resume in lieu of completing the application form is not acceptable and will be deemed incomplete.  Failure to attach the required documents and/or an incomplete application will not be reviewed for further consideration.

If you have previously applied through GovernmentJobs, you may use your existing profile to apply for positions with the City of Alhambra.
