Types of Service
Advance Reservations
For the best service, schedule an appointment at least three days in advance.
Subscription Service
For regular medical appointments, church or lunch rides can be scheduled on a daily or weekly basis. In the event of a schedule change, call to cancel your pick-up time or our Senior Ride vehicle will arrive at your scheduled pick-up time. Note that canceling or not showing up for your subscription service on three consecutive appointments will result in loss of service. Subscription may be placed on hold when medical emergencies arise or on vacations.
Demand-Response
Same-day reservations can be made for urgent medical and dental appointments. You will not be taken to the emergency room. Senior Ride Dispatch will attempt to accommodate your request, however, rides are not guaranteed. Dial 911 if you have a life-threatening emergency!
Special Assistance
When making your reservation, let us know if you need special assistance. Although all vehicles are equipped with wheelchair lifts, we need to schedule adequate time to accommodate your needs. If you are physically disabled or frail and will need assistance, you may bring an "escort." Drivers cannot escort you from or into any building. When you make your reservation, notify the dispatcher that you will need two seats. Companions will not be allowed to ride unless they are either eligible for Senior Ride or are serving as an "escort."
Guidelines
Senior Ride is a free service and very much in demand. To better assist everyone, follow these simple guidelines:
