top-name bands, as well as children's
games and crafts, food & beverage
vendors, and lots more.
Parks & Recreation Department
Responsibilities:

  • Manage a range of human services to
    help enrich the lives in our community
  • Administer, manage & implement programs to maintain and beautify our parklands and recreational facilities
  • Administer, manage & implement
    leisure service programs accommo-
    dating a variety of interests, ages,
    cultures and abilities
  • Publish leisure activities programs
    in the Leisure Activities Guide three
    times / year
  • Coordinate community special
    events, civic and cultural programs, comprehensive senior program (mainly
    through the Joslyn Center), weekly
    farmer's market, community garden,
    senior transportation services,
    volunteer services and contract
    management of the Alhambra
    Municipal Golf Course
