"HOMEWORK HELP" Enables Students to Get Expert Assistance

Students can now get the homework assistance they need with the help of :

  • Teen volunteers who are available to help students at the Library
  • Live Homework Help - an online service that provides tutors in math, science, social studies and English, 24/7 for students in grades 4 to 12. Live Homework Help is available at the Library or from your home computer through the Library's website

Volunteer Library Tutors
Volunteer Library Tutors provide homework assistance to help elementary students in grades 3 through 8 with homework assignments, test preparation or research projects. The program is provided by volunteer high school students, who are able to help instill in others the necessary tools to develop good study habits and skills.

Hours:
Monday                                  4:00-5:30 p.m.
Tuesday                                3:30-5:30 p.m.
Wednesday                          3:30-5:30 p.m.
Thursday                               3:30-5:30 p.m.
Friday & School Holidays   (No assistance available)

Become a Volunteer!  If you are a high school student who is interested in helping a youngster with their homework, you can volunteer as a Learning Partner by calling (626) 570-3218 (or 570-3281) or dropping by the library.  

Online HELP at TUTOR.COM
Online Homework HELP offers students in grades 4 to 12 immediate homework assistance from qualified tutors (certified teachers, college professors, and graduate school students from across the country). Weekly quizzes at Homework HELP have increased student awareness of Live Homework Help. The program is available from any web-enabled computer in the library. To access the program, click here.

Available subjects for English-speaking students include: math, science, social studies and English. Program hours are:

Saturday

4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
1 p.m. to 9 p.m.
1 p.m. to 9 p.m.
1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Available subjects for Spanish-speaking students include: math and science. Program hours are:

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday                                 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.
