Gain Free Admission to the Pacific Asia Museum

(WITH YOUR ALHAMBRA CIVIC CENTER LIBRARY CARD)

The Pacific Asia Museum, 46 North Los Robles Avenue, Pasadena

Alhambra Civic Center Library cardholders are now eligible for FREE admission to the Pacific Asia Museum in the wake of a new partnership agreement between the Civic Center Library and Museum. The partnership is part of the Museum’s “Chinese Community Initiative,” and is funded by the the James Irvine Foundation and The Institute for Museum and Library Services.  The initiative is designed to meet the Museum’s goal of serving the growing Chinese community in the San Gabriel Valley.

The Pacific Asia Museum, located in an architecturally-significant, Chinese-style building, is one of only four institutions in the United States dedicated exclusively to the arts and culture of Asia and the Pacific Islands.  The museum’s mission is to further cultural awareness and understanding trough the arts.

The museum has a collection of over 14,000 works of art including paintings, prints, sculptures, ceramics, jades and textiles from all over Asia and the Pacific Islands, and maintains a research library containing more than 7,000 reference volumes.
