Alhambra's popular Cuban Bistro features  traditional Cuban food "with a twist," the twist being a slight French and California influence added by the chef. The restaurant interior offers classy decorative touches in its bar and dining areas leading up to the culinary experience you will have at this exceptional restaurant with more-than-reasonable prices. An expanded banquet room now offers a perfect location for hosting large parties from 45 to 60 people.

A good way to start your meal is with an appetizer or two or the house appetizer sampler, Ejemplares de la Casa, an assortment that includes yuca frita, croquetas, masas de puerco, tostones rellenos — all served with a flavorful dip. Eager diners can then choose from variety of dishes featuring aves, puerco, carnes, pescado, and platos de arroz, plus an array of side dishes and yummy desserts.

Not only is the food terrific--you can also come and enjoy live music and dancing to traditional Cuban music. Private function bookings are welcome. The Cuban Bistro is open until 2 a.m. on weekends!

Here are Elmer Dills' remarks about the Cuban Bistro Restaurant:

"You can still enjoy the delights of Cuban cuisine without heading for the Island. My friends tell me that the food is authentically Cuban The bar's a good place to stop at before claiming your table while the bartender makes his famous Cuban Mojito. But you don't come to the Cuban Bistro for just the Mojitos and the Sangria, but also for their Cuban specialties. From the appetizers, my favorite is their Chicken Noodle soup with LOTS of chicken. Don't miss this soup! My suggestion, go for the Grilled Garlic Chicken with plantains, rice and black beans topped with lots of onions. For me though, the best of Cuban is their pork dishes. Masitas de Puerco, chunks of pork fried until crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside, served the traditional way with moros rice and plantains. I'm told Ox Tail is popular in the Miami Cuban community. This version is served with a Sofrito sauce and lots of onions. I really like it! House-made desserts include a GREAT rice pudding as only the Cubans seem to make. Service is friendly and helpful. You need more information ordering? Manager Rocky will be at your table to help. The bottom line, good marks for the service, the food, and the reasonable prices. The right place to try the Cuban experience!" - Elmer Dills, ABC 7, Eyewitness News
