(1) Fremont Plaza at Fremont & Commonwealth. This popular retail shopping destination includes an Albertson's, Toys R'Us, Party City, Petsmart, Taco Bell and El Pollo Loco restaurants. After Sears closed its doors, resulting in an immediate loss of 200 jobs and $180,000 in sales tax revenue, the City of Alhambra revitalized the site.  The Alhambra Redevelopment Agency took on the entire project, from rehabilitation and construction to leasing and maintenance. Today, it is a profitable community asset, valued in excess of $12 million. Costco, Target, Sizzler and Soup Plantation Restaurant are located nearby.

(2) The Alhambra Campus (near Fremont & Mission) is a 45-acre high-tech business complex with more than 20 office buildings owned by the Ratkovich Company. The property encompasses over one million square feet, grouped around a central courtyard with lush gardens and fountains, as well as helipad access. Current tenants of the Alhambra include the USC School of Medicine, Health Services Department of the County of Los Angeles, Care First, Tenet Healthcare, the California Independent Systems Operator (ISO), LAUSD, the County of Los Angeles, Pac Bell, and Southwest Administrators. first-class dining/catering services, and lavish conference/meeting/auditorium facilities.


(3) Shops at the Alhambra is located across the street from The Alhambra office complex. The 17,755 sq. ft. retail center features a large open-air plaza with seating for 165, complemented by a Moroccan tiled fountain and five towering Canary Island palm trees. Access to the stores from The Alhambra is at street level or by via the elevated pedestrian bridge. Current tenants include Starbuck's CoffeeSubway, Pick Up Stix, Qdoba Mexican Grill, Nextel, Jamba JuiceRed Brick Pizza and Energy First Credit Union

 (4) Kohl's Department Store, 1201 S. Fremont Ave.; Ph: (626) 289-7250 - At Kohl's, you can "Expect Great Things" (the Kohl's motto) with a wide array of merchandise, including apparel, shoes and accessories for women, children and men, as well as home products such as small electronics, bedding, luggage and more.  Kohl's is also a leader in the comunity through its KOHL'S CARES FOR KIDS Programs.

  

Shopping hours are Mon.-Sat., 8 a.m.-10 p.m.; Sun., 9 a.m.-9 p.m.
