Examples of Economic Renewal around Town

Alhambra's revitalized downtown is a vibrant gathering place of restaurants, entertainment venues, small boutiques, service and major retail establishments, mixed use residential/ commercial buildings--and public parking is still free. Financial assistance is available for purchase or subsidies, building renovation and tenant improvements. Much of the funding (approx. $7.9 million) has come through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) using CDBG monies and Section 108 assistance.
